Four Seasons Private Residences Designed by Modern-Day Icons

Whether building on tradition or creating something entirely new and innovative, good design leaves a legacy. That legacy can be seen in the skylines that define our cities, or it can be felt in the intimate spaces where we spend our days, our weeks, our years – either way, the impact is palpable and lasting.

By working with some of the most celebrated architects and designers in the world, Four Seasons Private Residences invite you to be a part of a city’s design legacy while creating one of your own. A striking architectural masterpiece in Boston’s Back Bay neighbourhood dreamed up by legendary architect Henry N. Cobb. Design duo Yabu Pushelberg’s modern re-expression of traditional Indian design in Mumbai’s vibrant Worli district. An ingenious interlocking structure designed by Hamiltons International set along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. A sanctuary in the heart of Dubai created by visionary architect Sir David Chipperfield. These designers all created something singular and spectacular. Through exceptional design and unparalleled service, Four Seasons can help you create a legacy of your own at the residences in these iconic destinations.

A Henry N. Cobb–designed landmark in Boston

Rising 61 storeys above Boston’s Back Bay neighbourhood, Four Seasons Private Residences One Dalton Street, Boston, is the tallest residential tower – and third tallest building – in the city. Designed by Henry N. Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, one of the world’s most distinguished architects, in partnership with CambridgeSeven, the curved, all-glass structure sets itself apart as an architectural masterpiece without precedent.

“The building’s transition into its ‘soft triangle’ shape is eventful but seamless,” said Cobb, who designed the tower before his death in 2020. “It deliberately occurs just as the tower begins to rise above its immediate neighbours.” Serving as a link between the historic homes of Back Bay and the rows of skyscrapers that make up the High Spine, One Dalton’s modern facade fully engages with its urban surroundings without neglecting its roots: each of the tower’s residential units features operable bay windows in every room, an homage to the 19th-century brownstones that line the streets below.

At 742 feet, One Dalton is just 48 feet shy of the city’s tallest structure, 200 Clarendon – originally known as the John Hancock Tower – but they share a common ancestor. Both buildings were designed by Cobb – the perfect monuments to his distinguished career.

Inside, acclaimed interior designer Thierry Despont brings his signature fusion of classicism and modernism to the iconic lobby and public areas of the residences, as well as the private club.

“In addition to beautiful private residences and exceptional Four Seasons service, luxury living is also about bringing the unexpected, the new,” says Eric Jausseran, Residential Lifestyle Manager at Four Seasons Private Residences One Dalton Street, Boston. “It’s about delivering unrivalled experiences to a discerning audience.” Jausseran and his team go above and beyond to create extraordinary experiences for every resident that connect them to the city in unique and memorable ways. “We want to offer original experiences, inspire new emotions and create memories for them and their families.”

Riverside living by Jean-Michel Gathy and BAMO in Bangkok

Those who live at Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River may call an innovative, modern building home, but they share an address with ancient royalty. Set along the path of Bangkok’s first paved road, the residences are the epicentre of Chao Phraya Estate, a mixed-use complex that spans 14 serene acres along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, also known as the River of Kings.

Led by award-winning architectural and interior designer Jean-Michel Gathy from Denniston, who also designed the nearby Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, the estate includes collaborations with architects from Hamiltons International as well as the interior design firm BAMO. Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River features a distinct interlocking shape that ensures each residence on every floor is a corner unit with unobstructed waterfront views. Some of the most sought-after units, however, are the exclusive three-bedroom residences. Offering 191 square metres (2,056 square feet) to 237 square metres (2,551 square feet) of serene living space, these spacious residences are bathed in natural light and feature meticulously curated furnishings by B&B Italia.

For truly incredible city views, residents can head up to the private Four Seasons Club, located on the 64th to 66th floors. These three floors serve as a gathering place for owners, residents and their guests, featuring a Sky Lounge and Bar, a private dining room, a screening room, an art studio, a teen lounge, a wine room, a sky fitness and an infinity-edge outdoor pool that seems to float above the city on the 66th floor terrace. Looking to feel more grounded? Four Seasons residents also have exclusive access to a private Riverfront Lounge right by the river’s edge.

Yabu Pushelberg’s modern take on tradition in Mumbai

Located in Mumbai’s buzzing Worli district, with the Willingdon Golf Course, the Mahalaxmi Racecourse and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link all nearby, Four Seasons Private Residences Mumbai is a family-friendly urban oasis. Designed by award-winning architecture firm Gensler with interiors by celebrated design duo Yabu Pushelberg, these single-floor residences and multi-level duplexes were made with legacy in mind.

“We started the project by imagining who the owner would be and gaining an understanding of the target clientele. This allowed us to get more personal in the way we designed the interiors,” Glenn Pushelberg explained to Architectural Digest. “We created a metaphor around an heirloom jewel passed through successive generations and designed each apartment to be a modern interpretation of that.”

Yabu Pushelberg’s vision embraces a particularly sophisticated approach to luxury, one that also embraces the design legacy of the region. Traditional Vastu Shastra – Sanskrit for the “science of architecture” – finds a modern reinterpretation through Gensler’s planning of the homes, done in collaboration with Yabu Pushelberg. Throughout the property’s public spaces and residences, your attention is drawn not only to the impeccable array of finishes and objects – imagine richly hued heirloom gemstones, swathes of wood and book-matched exotic stone – but also the spatial scale. The directional alignments and shapes incorporated into the design of the building (two key elements of Vastu Shastra) also help create a spiritual ambience that promotes well-being and prosperity.

The crown jewels of this residential property are the penthouses. Designed with multigenerational living in mind, these 6,500-square-foot penthouses boast some of the largest floor areas and room sizes in Mumbai, with customizable five- to six-bedroom layouts available, each featuring plenty of room for each family member to spread out and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

Sir David Chipperfield reimagines the skyline in Dubai

Claiming a prime position on Gate Avenue with striking views towards the iconic Burj Khalifa and neighbouring Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre, Four Seasons Private Residences Dubai at DIFC will be part urban gathering place, part sanctuary. Housed within a complex of four aligned towers rising from a raised plinth, their linear facades line up to face the surrounding city, while the inward curves embrace a pedestrian-only garden oasis, complete with shady green spaces to gather and chic restaurants and cafes at which to meet with friends.

This rare reimagining of the DIFC skyline has been designed by acclaimed British architect Sir David Chipperfield as part of an innovative mixed-use project. Complementing the architecture will be interiors by Tihany Design that help further instil a sense of sanctuary and luxury. By using light to transform the space into one filled with wonder and delight, Tihany Design is pulling inspiration from the work of Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis.

“Imagine yourself entering this space, greeted by a warm glow and a symphony of reflections,” says a spokesperson from Tihany Design. “As you move through the space, the light dances around you, creating ever-changing patterns and effects. You feel yourself surrounded by beauty, a space where light and reflection come together to create a truly magical feeling, the feeling of being at home.”

A legacy of excellence

No matter where you live, your home is an extension of you. The design of your home will shape the look and feel of the legacy you create, and Four Seasons is here to help provide the heart. Every residential property is managed by a passionate team of experts dedicated to treating your home as if it were their own. When you live with Four Seasons, no detail is too small or too big. And the peace of mind you’ll feel is priceless. “This is one of the best decisions we have ever made,” says Janet, a Four Seasons Private Residences owner. “We bought a house but gained a family who supports us. It’s our home.”

Play on a Cabo Del Sol golf masterpiece

When you look out onto the awe-inspiring mix of desert, mountain and sea found at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, it’s easy to see why Jack Nicklaus called this the “best piece of golf property I’ve ever seen.” He was, of course, talking about the location for his highly acclaimed Cove Club Course (formerly the Ocean Course), which has been recognized as one of the world’s Top 100 golf courses by “Golf Digest.”

The 9-hole reversible course is the centrepiece of the exclusive Cove Club, where owners at Four Seasons Private Residences Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol gather to experience one of the area’s most swimmable beaches, sea- and farm-to-table dining, an abundance of land and water sports, and exclusive access to the course itself. Feel like going straight from the beach to the golf course? No problem. And no need to pack your shoes either – you can play barefoot. Be sure to keep an eye out for the specially equipped VW Kombi cruising the course offering up signature refreshments, or stop by the Airstream Bambi located feet from the waves on the 8th tee box for a mid-course taco break. You’ll also find two Chocitas (which translates to “little shacks” in English) – one after the 4th green and one before the 15th tee – each offering curated sweet and savoury treats as well as thirst-quenching delights, adding to the authentic experience in Cabo Del Sol.

For both avid golfers and those who are new to the sport, one of the most rewarding things to do is to spend some time with Cove Club’s renowned golf instructors, Erik Evans and Carly Schneider. Having worked with tour players, professional athletes and corporate executives, they are among the top PGA Teaching Professionals in the world. With personalized instruction, have fun while taking your game to the next level, knowing you’re in good hands.

Horizon-to-horizon views on this Caye Chapel, Belize golf course

“I can’t think of anywhere else in the world you can do what you’re doing in Caye Chapel,” said Greg Norman, champion pro golfer and co-designer of the White Shark Golf Course at Four Seasons Private Residences Caye Chapel, Belize. “The owners today should consider themselves lucky; they bought a piece of paradise.”

Caye Chapel is a one-of-a-kind paradise. This private island resort and residential community offers six miles of pristine coastline surrounded by brilliant blue water, coral reefs and world-class dive sites, including the Great Blue Hole. It’s also the very first private island in the Americas managed by Four Seasons, and as such, it features signature services and an abundance of exclusive amenities. Residents of Caye Chapel will have access to an organic farm and restaurant, a dedicated adventure centre for kids, a full gym and sports complex, an open-air theatre, and a Golf Academy, just to name a few.

For the White Shark Golf Course – which takes its name from Norman’s own moniker “the Great White Shark” – Norman designed a 10-hole course that meanders from horizon to horizon, highlighting stunning ocean views at every turn. “You want to make a player going on a golf course you design to remember every hole,” said Norman. “At Caye Chapel, it’s the Caribbean Sea, it’s the barrier reef system, it’s that fantastic change of water colour as you look out as the sun moves from the east to midday to the west – everything changes with the light.”

A sense of belonging in a Las Vegas golf community

For many golfers, the sense of comradery and connections made while on the course are major draws of the sport. Residential communities with golf courses at their cores often share this focus on social connection. Just 15 miles from the Las Vegas Strip in Henderson, Nevada, MacDonald Highlands is one of those communities. Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas – the latest addition to the Four Seasons collection of standalone Private Residences – will soon welcome MacDonald Highlands’ newest residents into the fold.

Residents at Four Seasons will have the opportunity to gain exclusive access to the members-only championship 18-hole golf course, swimming and tennis facilities, and an array of indoor and outdoor activities at the nearby DragonRidge Country Club. And that’s in addition to the abundance of resort-style amenities that owners already have at their disposal.

Entertain friends with a chef-curated dinner on your residence’s private terrace or with a family picnic in one of the multi-level pool’s cabanas. You can also invite your fellow golfers to join you for a round at DragonRidge, then break down the day over light bites and sundowners. A favourite of pro players and amateurs, this course invites golfers of all skill levels to try their hand at its scenic mountainside holes offering panoramic views of the glittering Las Vegas Strip.

Designed by Tom Weiskopf, this 18-hole, par-72 course stretches over 7,100 yards on Paradise Island. The crosswinds here can be a challenge for even the most experienced players – but that’s all part of the fun.

At The Ocean Club, it’s easy to make golf a part of your everyday. Stop in for private lessons from the PGA-certified instructors at the Ocean Club Golf Academy, get outfitted with the latest gear at the pro shop, and join friends for post-game drinks at one of The Ocean Club’s beachfront restaurants.

From the towering bookshelves of Starfield Library to the two-dimensional stylings of Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20, Seoul is filled with amazing selfie spots. And one of the most iconic locations to snap a grid-worthy pic is Bukchon Hanok Village. Famous for its traditional Korean houses – known as hanoks – this residential neighbourhood in the Jongno District offers a first-hand glimpse of the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul invites you to explore the village, along with Gyeongbok Palace and Insa-dong, on the exclusive Love Is Seoul-Searching on Foot walking tour. An expert will take you on a half-day tour through some of the city’s most beautiful places. For women, that means a jeogori (top) and chima (skirt), while for men, hanbok consists of a jeogori and loose-fitting baji (trousers).

And if you’re looking for modern architectural marvel, let Four Seasons arrange for a private limousine ride and a tailored shopping experience at Dior Seongsu, capped off with a drink at Café Dior in front of a backdrop inspired by the lush gardens of Christian Dior’s childhood home on the seaside cliffs of Granville, France.

“The lush gardens, well-equipped gym and temperature-controlled pool collectively form an urban oasis within the bustling cityscape, reinforcing the feeling of a sanctuary,” says Assistant Director of Residences Vipindas Ramadas. And, while there are a variety of world-class amenities on-site, the Four Seasons commitment to enhance quality of living extends beyond that. “Understanding the diverse preferences of each resident allows us to tailor experiences that resonate with them, ensuring a true sense of belonging within our community,” says Ramadas. “We offer chef service on call, curated menus, personalized event catering, laundry services, housekeeping on call, and regular maintenance and upkeep – and to top it off, our expert concierge team is available 24 hours a day.”

Life in such a dynamic city is always exciting, and the residential team likes to keep residents informed about local events through quarterly newsletters and daily recommendations. “Our team aims to not only simplify our residents’ daily lives but also to serve as an invaluable resource in guiding residents to explore the rich cultural tapestry of Bengaluru, fostering a strong connection between them and the happenings in the city.”

History comes alive in Kyoto

Widely considered one of the world’s most beautiful cities, Kyoto has many faces. Pale shades of pink paint the city in the spring during cherry blossom season, while the bright red leaves of Japanese maples blanket the temples and gardens in autumn. Nestled within an 800-year-old ikeniwa garden pond in the historic temple district, Four Seasons Private Residences Kyoto provides an extraordinary place to experience it all.

“Our 57 residences incorporate old-world charm and tradition with contemporary design and modern conveniences,” says Director of Hotel Residences Rahul Mamgain. “Our pond garden makes our property quite unique in connecting residents to the roots of our former Imperial capital.” The residences themselves are designed to follow the concept of kutsuogi – the Japanese art of relaxation. The use of washi paper enhances elements of light and shadow, and tatami rooms with bamboo woven floors reference elements found in traditional Japanese houses, while the colour purple – which represents the city’s rich heritage and culture – is also incorporated throughout the entire property.

Wander through the expertly landscaped trails and walkways along the water’s edge as you head over to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, which also shares the historic grounds. Residents have exclusive access to the dining, spa and wellness amenities at the Hotel in addition to unique experiences curated by Mamgain and his team. A traditional rickshaw tour, a private Maiko performance and a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony at the Shakusui-Tei Tea House are just a few of the unique Kyoto experiences the team can arrange. “Discover local Japanese delicacies and crafts in the alleys of Kawaramachi or explore the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple or Nijo Castle,” recommends Mamgain. When you live with Four Seasons, the entire city becomes your playground, with expert guides on hand to lead the way.

An Iconic Landmark in the Making:
Four Seasons Private Residences Istanbul

Inspired by three millennia of history, the soon-to-open Four Seasons Private Residences Istanbul is set to become one of the most sought-after addresses in an already iconic city. Combining legendary Four Seasons service, world-class amenities and an effortless homeownership experience, this standalone development will set a new standard for luxury living right in the heart of Istanbul. Join us as we take a look inside and uncover the inspiration behind the exciting new development.

A dynamic neighbourhood filled with history

Located on the European side where the districts of Ulus, Etiler and Levent come together, Four Seasons Private Residences Istanbul offers effortless luxury living in a dynamic and culture-rich neighbourhood. Think of gazing out over the mighty Bosphorus from a streetside café nearby, or stopping in a fashionable boutique for your next unique find. Strolling along the waterfront streets of Bebek, or exploring the hills of Etiler, where the city’s most notable culinary names await – all will be within easy reach.

“Our project is designed to integrate harmoniously with Istanbul’s vibrant atmosphere, conveniently situated near Istanbul’s prominent shopping and dining districts,” says Mesut Toprak, Chairman of the Tay Group, the development partner collaborating with Four Seasons. “We prioritize striking a delicate balance between [helping residents] engage in city activities, while safeguarding family privacy and serenity.” The goal, he says, is for both local and international residents to feel a connection to Istanbul through location, architecture, design and amenities.

This connection is further amplified by the personalized service that Four Seasons is known for. From making dinner reservations and stocking your kitchen with your favourite local pastries, to picking up your custom order from a designer shop nearby, the dedicated Four Seasons team will go the extra mile to make sure you feel right at home.

Design that merges the past, present and future

The residences themselves spread across four blocks in three ultra-modern towers and one low-rise building. A curated mix of Garden Suites, Apartment Residences, Penthouses and a Sky Loft, the 82 homes will have open-concept living spaces perfect for entertaining and relaxation in equal measure.

We view the architectural designs and materials not solely as historical tributes; they represent the ongoing sophistication of Istanbul’s urban landscape. – Mesut Toprak, Chairman of the Tay Group

Because no two Four Seasons residences are exactly alike, you can expect each residence to be fully customized. “We provide 46 distinctive floor plans catering to diverse lifestyles and preferences. This includes everything from expansive six-bedroom family apartments to minimalist two-bedroom urban living spaces that prioritize comfort without compromise,” Toprak says. “Nestled in one of Istanbul’s most prestigious areas, our apartments reflect the essence of both traditional Instanbulite and modern urban living. They are thoughtfully designed to provide rare urban sanctuaries, featuring terraces and gardens that present homeowners with a chance to relish their own private green spaces amid the urban landscape – a cornerstone of our design philosophy.”

Given the project’s iconic location, Toprak says, its architecture can be seen as a continuation of the residential architectural styles that emerged in the nearby Nişantaşı and Beyoğlu (formerly Pera) districts during the 19th century. However, “we view the architectural designs and materials not solely as historical tributes; they represent the ongoing sophistication of Istanbul’s urban landscape.”

Those with an eye for architecture, he notes, will find themselves immersed in detecting how these elements intertwine, showcasing the rich tapestry of Istanbul’s past and present.

Views from above

Most of the residences will fall within two categories: Garden Suites and Apartment Residences. The Garden Suites will provide the option of single-floor or duplex homes, each featuring private garden terraces accessible through floor-to-ceiling sliding windows. The Apartment Residences will range from two-bedroom to five-bedroom apartments, offering flexibility and comfort made to suit families or those looking for a luxurious Istanbul pied-à-terre.

Set atop each of the three residential towers will be the Penthouse Residences: ultra-exclusive homes featuring 7-metre-high (23-foot-high) ceilings and living areas focused on an expansive outdoor terrace. The primary bedroom on the upper floor will boast panoramic views and a distinctive crown attribute. Floor-to-ceiling windows will drench each Penthouse in natural light throughout the day, creating an impressive and tranquil space that showcases stunning city vistas.

The other crown jewel will be the Sky Loft Residence, perched on the low-rise building in the centre of the complex. Characterized by high-sloped ceilings and skylight windows in both the bedroom and living areas, the Sky Loft is designed to capitalize on the feeling of spaciousness. The interiors of this bright and airy residence optimize the interplay of space and light, augmented by innovative glass ceilings that maximize city views for an inspiring environment year round.

A sustainable and high-tech approach

Energy-efficient buildings, sustainable materials and green living are a priority at all Four Seasons properties, and they also rank high on the priority list for homebuyers. The team behind the residential property in Istanbul understands the crucial role sustainability holds not only in various aspects of real estate development but also in enhancing the well-being, productivity and overall satisfaction of residents and the community.

“Our commitment to sustainability is at the forefront of our design philosophy. In our quest to create living spaces that nurture both residents and the environment, we have integrated a multitude of eco-friendly features. Our project proudly meets the rigorous standards set by the LEED certification,” says Toprak. LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – is the world’s foremost green building rating system. “By prioritizing energy efficiency, optimizing air circulation, implementing rainwater collection and purification systems, and mitigating light and sound pollution, these residences work to benefit the environment, society and investors alike,” says Toprak.

In addition to intelligent building design, the residences will feature environmentally friendly VRF air conditioning and state-of-the-art under-floor heating, plus noise-cancelling technology and full insulation between residences. The complex itself will feature a parking structure with electric vehicle charging stations and advanced automation designed for 21st-century living.

An extension of your living space

When you live with Four Seasons, you’re not just getting an amazing home, you also gain access into an exclusive lifestyle. As a standalone property – meaning one that’s not connected to a hotel or resort – Four Seasons Private Residences Istanbul will be home to an array of world-class amenities tailored specifically for residential use.

“Our intent is for residents to enjoy the shared amenities as a seamless extension of their homes – an extra kitchen, a treatment room and a cinema room equipped with a superior audiovisual system,” says Toprak. “We believe this goal aligns perfectly with Four Seasons hospitality standards.”

Self-care is made easy at the state-of-the-art spa featuring a sauna, steam rooms and a heated indoor swimming pool perfect for morning swims surrounded by natural light. You can also relax on the outdoor garden deck, spend some time in the fully equipped fitness centre or the private yoga and Pilates studio, or opt for a relaxing spa treatment in the privacy of your residence.

A golf simulator suite, stylish multi-purpose lounges, and private cinema furnished with luxe leather seating and leading-edge AV technology will be perfect for days when you’re hosting guests or looking for fun. The family-friendly residential complex will also boast a bright and well-stocked kids’ playroom, as well as a young adult room featuring everything from table tennis and chess to video games to keep young residents and their friends entertained.

“The common spaces were meticulously crafted to evoke a residential ambience, seamlessly extending the essence of the apartments,” shares Toprak. “Our focus was on creating a fluid transition from the entrance to the amenities, inviting homeowners to enjoy the luxury of amenities reminiscent of their own homes.”

A history of excellence

Four Seasons has set the benchmark for hospitality in Istanbul for more than 30 years. In partnership with the Tay Group, both Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus and Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet were meticulously restored to become the renowned luxury hotels in Istanbul that they are today.

“As we expand our standalone residences in priority markets worldwide, Istanbul presents the perfect opportunity to build on the success and reputation of our renowned hotels at Sultanahmet and the Bosphorus, creating a distinct lifestyle experience with the privacy and comforts of home,” says Bart Carnahan, President, Global Business Development, Portfolio Management and Residential. “This new project is a natural extension of our partnership with Tay Group, and we are proud to collaborate once again as we offer residents the ultimate living experience in Istanbul.”

To create a truly seamless living experience, Four Seasons Private Residences Istanbul will be managed by a dedicated team, including a Director of Residences and Residential Concierge, that will focus on delivering the legendary service that Four Seasons is known for. Imagine dinner parties with tailored menus prepared by a Four Seasons chef, unexpected birthday surprises or your favourite flowers arranged on your table to brighten up a rainy day, all done with genuine care. At Four Seasons, your residence is an extension of you, so no detail is too small or too big when it comes to creating a home and a life you love.
